Our training curriculum is built around the understand that most of the trauma in the world is of the complex type. Many training programs train you to work effectively with the clients you see the least and poorly equip you to work with high acuity clients.
In-person EMDR trainings typically consist of two three-day parts. The trainings that we offer at Hanna Perkins Center in Shaker Heights are usually Friday-Sunday trainings, although there may be exceptions.
Why Should You Train with Thomas Zimmerman and EMDR Cleveland?
- Thomas Zimmerman literally wrote the book EMDR with Complex Trauma, one of the best reviewed books on the EMDR bookshelf. He is one of the best known and most respected voices in the EMDR therapy community, especially around using EMDR therapy with complex clients. He has trained tens of thousands of therapists globally in trauma-focused care.
- Our training programs are among the least expensive EMDRIA endorsed trainings in the United States. The cost ranges between $990.00 and $1,300.00 per person (depending on the cohort) for the entire training, including all of the required consultation. Roughly 25% of our trainees in each cohort will receive a partial or full scholarship. Your full-price registration helps subsidize the attendance of others who might not be able to attend full price.
- Participating in any of our foundational EMDR trainings will permit you to do all of the following after the training: retake either part of the foundational training in a subsequent round for free, participate in the six-hour CEU training EMDR With Complex Trauma for free, join the three-hour or six-hour Four Blinks Flash trainings for free, and join any of the four days/16 hours of our comprehensive EMDR With Complex Trauma Refresher for free. That’s potentially 52 additional hours of trauma education for free.
We are Currently Looking to Train Agencies or Groups of Agencies in Ohio
If you are an Ohio county or other agency that would like to train staff in EMDR therapy, please contact us. We can provide an EMDRIA training at an even lower rate, which will probably allow you to train more people. We are particularly interested in training people who work in the communities of most need.
